Job Title: Volunteer Coordinator
Department: Volunteer Services
Reports To: Director of Volunteer Programs
Status: Full time - exempt

Position Summary:
Responsible for cultivating relationships with volunteers in order to increase support and resources for the organization, and teams with HFHSTP staff. The Volunteer Coordinator (VC) is responsible for:
coordination of volunteer activities and data base information as well as cultivating relationships with volunteers in order to increase support and resources for the organization, and teams with HFHSTP staff.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or volunteer coordination experience or comparable education
- The capacity to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with volunteers, donors, Board of Directors and staff
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills including public speaking
- Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to anticipate tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines and function smoothly under strict deadlines and shifting priorities
- High-level computer literacy with skills in online database research and the Internet
- Strong team player skills
Position Description: - Collaborates with HFHSTP staff to determine volunteer needs
- Coordinates local volunteers for Home Store, ReStore, construction and various activities and committees
- Updates various data
- Maintains paperwork – brochures, waiver forms, volunteer forms, etc.
- Communicates with committee leadership concerning volunteers for their areas as well as Home Store, ReStore, and construction
- Recruiting volunteers with Director of Volunteer Services
Duties: - Coordination
- Send and evaluate volunteer forms and waivers to determine placement
- Send copy of information form to appropriate departments
- Notify and schedule construction volunteers of meeting location
- Secure lunches
- Develop plans for thanking local and out of town volunteers.
- Writing volunteer articles for newsletter
- Scheduling community service hours for schools
- Sending e-mail to volunteers as needed for the various committees
- Data Base
- Enter volunteer information into database
- Create new report/divisions in database
- Paperwork
- Updating, changing and printing existing paperwork
- Creating volunteer information packs
- Filing paperwork as needed
- Communication
- Identify contact person in each department and meet every week
- Communicate regularly with those who staff committees
- Staff tabling, outreach efforts, fundraising, special events, committee and civic organizations.
- Assist with website management
